From a 1992 holiday home to a lovingly renovated design chalet. The story of DAS BARBARA.
A name that endures
This log cabin in the forest has a history. The name DAS BARBARA carries on the memory of Barbara, who looked after her guests here with great warmth for many years.
We have carefully guided the house into the future while keeping what makes it special: its quiet, its warmth and its setting in the middle of nature.

- 1992
A holiday home is born
From 1992 on, the log cabin was "the" holiday home for many guests in search of rest. Barbara always looked after every single one of them with great care.
- 2018
A chapter closes
In April 2018 this chapter came to a close. The name DAS BARBARA keeps the memory of Barbara alive to this day.
- 2021
A careful renovation
In spring 2021 we undertook a complete renovation, working with Sophie Barrezeele, an award-winning designer and a Tyrolean by choice. The core of the log cabin was preserved.
- 2024
The barrel sauna
Since autumn 2024 a special highlight completes the experience: our new barrel sauna, set naturally into its surroundings, with a view of the Seefelder and Reither Spitze.
Wood is everywhere and yet quietly in the background.
Modern and yet homely
For comfort and fittings we took a modern approach, without ever losing sight of natural materials. A high-quality wooden floor, gently warmed, meets natural chalk paint and clean-lined furniture.
Individual design pieces give every room its own character. Cooking needs space, so we deliberately made the kitchen and living room generous: a place for good food and good company.
